In roadside drain under Pinus radiata. It seems to do ok under pines because the leaf litter suppresses competing species, especially exotic grasses. But again, it's in a very vulnerable situation and could be destroyed by roadworks and 'tidying-up', or even mistaken for the invasive Erigeron karvinskianus, and removed or sprayed-out.
