Leptocoris mitellatus (Leptocoris bug)

Family Rhopalidae.

Similar in size to the Harlequin bug, but the body is a bit narrower. Overall reddish colour. In Canberra, large colonies can form under trees of the introduced Koelreuteria paniculata (Golden Rain Tree), where they appear to feed on the fallen seeds.
