Welcome to the world of Juncus @Aussiegall! So from first glance I would say your sighting is closest to J.continuus, but I can't say beyond that with any certainty. If you are keen to pursue Identification with this group, I'll get you to spilt the tubular culms with your thumb nail and photograph the which pith inside. Also please note the culm colour and hardness in the description :)
