Not sure I've chosen the correct Corvus sp. I occasionally hear Australian Ravens in the neighbourhood, usually passing through. This raven pair was in a large willow overhanging our yard and was silent. One appeared to have some feathers missing on top of its head and upper chest. They soon separated and explored the tree.

I understand the problem of identification and it is near imposssible without photos of the entire bird. The bill size makes Mellori more likely but I have allowed the initial identification.
