This spider has a story! When my husband was removing a plastic cover from pruning shears, he saw some movement. This Huntsman Spider was hiding between the cover and the shears! We decided to take it back to the tool shed where the shears were kept. On the way, the spider moved onto the top of the cover and I was able to get a few more photos. In the tool shed, it was encouraged to move onto some hoses. In the future we will be more careful in checking our garden tools before use! This is the first time I've seen this Huntsman Spider near our house.

Pleased that you are enjoying the sighting. We are grateful we saw this spider before it was accidently harmed! It's not like any other huntsman we've seen in or outside the house.
