The threatened (VU) Zieria murphyi can be substantially browsed by wallabies. However, some plants occur in situations where even wallabies can't reach them, e.g. on rocks or steep and rocky areas, including escarpments. The species is sometimes considered a Blue Mountains rarity with an outlier in the south of the Highlands, but most records of it and perhaps the majority of plants are in the Highlands. If anything, the BMtns occurrence is the outlier. Would be interesting to examine both populations to determine their genetic relationship: which is the older and how long have they been isolated from each other.
