Baby copperhead dead on the side of the road. Looks to have been run over.

The prominent orange to yellow band across the neck and distinctive mustard-coloured belly distinguishes this specimen as Drysdalia rhodogaster. The black pigment between the ventral scales (predominantly towards the ends) and grey crown are also characteristics of D. rhodogaster.
