Author's notes

Was wondering if anyone can tell me what species of orchid? this is. I originally thought Potato Orchid but after comparing photo and habitat, this is clearly wrong. Approx 8-15cm, brown stem, no visible leaf, many flowers, growing in dappled shade of horse paddock on sandy acidic soil. Flowering Oct-Nov.

Not an orchid, an introduced parasitic plant called Broomrape Orobanche minor.
