Initially thought this was Horsfield's Bronze Cuckoo, but others who viewed the photo were sure it was a Shining

Would agree the diagnosis. If the photo was taken currently in the Highlands winter this would be a very unusual sighting according to The Australian Bird Atlas especially at this altitude. BLSHfour

The green leaves etc on the photo made me check the date and write that post. My intention was to draw our focus on dates of photos and not dates of posting as with so many migratory birds in the area we have potential problems and I suspect there will be images posted in the future that may be undated.
