Nice sighting, @poida84! We're always happy when a family with a juvenile is photographed. We'll compare the flossy with previous sightings and see if we can find a match for her.

Hi @poida84. Sorry I haven't gotten back to you sooner. I'm in the process of discussing an ID for your female with GITM1 & GITM3. I'm a bit confused - I'm not aware of any glossy female named Devine in Glossies in the Mist. Is this a name you picked or that someone gave you?

@GITM2 sorry Divine typo, yes got a comment on my FB page from glossies in the mist about the female.

Thanks for the explanation, @poida84. I'm not aware of the female named Divine in the sections of Glossies in the Mist where GITM1, GITM3, & I have worked on ID's. However, 2 other sections of Glossies in the Mist were done by other members of the glossy team. Let me do a bit of checking and find out if Divine is in the other sections. Sorry, I didn't think of that in my previous email. At the moment, the names listed for female glossies in NM are incomplete & only from the sections worked on by the 3 of us. I'll let you know what I find.

Hi again, @poida84. GITM1, GITM3, & I have been discussing the ID of your female glossy (flossy). We are very interested in knowing more about the flossy 'Divine' & who identified your flossy. We checked the IDs in the other zones within the GITM project & Divine has not been identified within those sections. Also, we haven't found a good match between your flossy & others reported in the area covering Colo Vale to Buxton. In our work with glossies reported in GITM, we found that glossies weren't traveling far from where originally sighted. Within the sections that the 3 of us worked, the greatest distance traveled was approximately 13 km. However, if your flossy is a good match with Divine & is from another area, that would be very exciting & advance our knowledge of distances glossies are traveling. If possible, we would enjoy seeing some photos of Divine & communicating with the person who compared your flossy with her. Cheers & thanks, GITM2

Thanks, @poida84. With your last comment, GITM1 was able to find the discussion comment on your FB page. While we agree that 'Divine' would be a perfect name for the flossy, we think there has been a misunderstanding in that 'divine' was meant as a descriptive compliment, not a name. Her yellow facial markings are beautiful. What we could do now is continue with the comparisons we have been making with the known flossies in GITM. You have good views of one side of her face & her tail. Do you have any views of the other side of her face? If you do, could you edit your sighting & add that view? We haven't found a match for the views you have already uploaded, but both facial views would give us a better chance of finding a match. If you don't have the other facial view, then we will consider her a new flossy & you can name her - maybe suggest a couple of names as we already have a large list of names & all haven't been added to NM yet.

Oh dear - that was me commenting on the GITM page, and yes it was intended as a complementary expression! Sorry for confusion and the time spent trying to figure out the mystery!

@cre8momentum all good might have to give her the name Divine anyways if she don't have a name later. hehehe
