Rhonda Mae, 2nd sighting, with a male & juvenile/subadult. Nearby was another pair of glossies (Linnie), uploaded separately. The previous day, the property owners were excited to see a pair of glossies. None had been seen recently & since the fires of 2019-2020, the owners were aware only of brief visits by glossies. This morning the owner let the photographer (LSH) know that 5 glossies were there! Rhonda Mae's family spent time feeding in allocasuarinas (images 1-3) & then began preening in nearby eucalypts (image 5). While the female was grooming the juvenile/subadult, the male suddenly faced downward, spread his wings & flared his tail (image 5) - a surprising and striking posture! The adults also spent considerable time grooming each other.
