User's notes

We were walking the dogs yesterday morning and came across a sugar glider on the ground at the base of a tree, it took off very quickly up the tree when it saw us, which suggested to me that it wasn't injured or sick. I was concerned because it should not have been on the ground nor active during daylight. It went fairly high up in the tree, way beyond my reach. I went back a few times during the day to make sure it was OK and hadn't come back to the ground again. Each time it appeared to be asleep with its head tucked under its arm and was hard to locate because it had been moving around to stay in the shade. I checked this morning to see if it was still there and it's gone. I also checked the area around the tree to make sure it wasn't on the ground again and no sign of it.

Fantastic sighting Aussiegall! I’m so glad it seemed to be ok, maybe a juvenile just kicked out of the family hollow and trying to find its own. Let’s hope it’s fine.
