User's notes

Smallish and slender, possibly about 30mm in length. We had placed branches from the hakea into the bin for garden organics. Later when walking past the bin, I saw the mantis on some branches sticking out of the bin! After a few photos, I removed it to a banksia in the garden. We check plant material before it goes into the bin, but sadly we sometimes miss an insect or spider.
