Could this pair be a Homalictus sp? They appeared to be 5-7mm in size. Images 3 & 4 show the female after the male left.

They are probably L. (Homalictus) sphecodoides

Thank you, Michael, for suggesting the species. That encourages me to keep photographing tiny native bees, even when I probably won't capture enough detail for a species ID.
