User's notes

Before I knew the identity of this spider, I saw a tiny insect fly toward it. Suddenly the spider quickly began moving its longs legs around. When I returned with the camera, I could see the net at the end of the legs. I had seen a net-casting spider cast its net! She (no sign of male sex organs) has been in our old storage shed since early March, 2022. On some days she keeps the net between her legs, while on other days she is at rest without the net. The photos cover the interval 1-19 March.

Thanks for your comment. I was thrilled to see this net-casting spider. Since then a male spider has been near her! I'll upload some photos of him in a couple days.
