Cecil Hoskins Nature Reserve

Cecil Hoskins Nature Reserve is located between Moss Vale and Bowral and is a popular bird watching spot. It is managed by the NSW National Parks and Wildlife, and has some great walks and interpretive signage.

When I was doing some research I came across Berberis glaucocarpa which seems like a better fit - not too sure though cause there doesn't appear to be any records of it naturalised in Aus.
