I am certain that the ID by CarbonAI is not correct. The glider was much too big to be Petaurus notatus. Other greater gliders have been seen in the immediate area over the years but too high in the eucalypts for me to photograph.
Fantastic sighting Aussiegall! I’m so glad it seemed to be ok, maybe a juvenile just kicked out of the family hollow and trying to find its own. Let’s hope it’s fine.
