This looks like a very good fit for Guerinius shuckardi. One particular observation below was ID’d by Dr Graham Brown & location is pin-point geographically. To note, we also have similar sightings recorded on NatureMapr under Zaspilothynnus (Genus) but I cannot find any independent source of photos to compare the two Genus successfully. The images I’ve seen don’t seem to fit like Guerinius does.

Moving across to Thynnidae (under Flower Wasp category & removing Thynnidae from under Other Wasps category)

Hi @DiBickers thanks for working on this. I was hoping to suggest you might check all the existing L. frontalis sightings as I had not ever looked at them in any depth and don’t have a lot of spare capacity at the moment

@angmarrob this lady is looking for scarab beetle larvae (curl grubs) which you must have in your lawn. She will dig them up; sting and lay an egg inside each one; her larvae will consume the curl grub; then her larvae will pupate (undergo metamorphosis) until such time they are ready to re-emerge/eclose in their adult form😊
