An interesting bug, @Span102! I'm not sure about ID either! Your sighting is very similar to G. tasmanicus but I have suggested Amorbus atomarius because of the yellowish tips to the antennae and yellowish feet. I'm not seeing those on examples of G. tasmanicus.

I think this may be an assassin bug. I hope you don't mind, that I used the image editor tool in the bottom right corner of the photo to crop the image so that we get a zoomed-in image of the bug.

Thanks very much Aussiegall. That's a species I hadn't come across and, yes, I think you're right. I will suggest that as the ID.
I have found some examples on Atlas of Living Australia. One is similar in colors to this one. Apparently, the name has been changed to Sastragala versicolor and only one confirmed sighting on NM (South Coast).
