It looks like a Pteropus poliocephalus, a Grey-headed flying fox as it appears to have a reddish collar but grey fur on the head and rest of body and the patagium is dark grey rather than a pale brown.

I've just chatted to my friend, Bat Girl, and she said it could be Nyctophilus gouldi or Nyctophilus geoffroyi. Have you still got the bat? Can you get a close up of the nose?

Great photo of a lesser long eared bat. There is another species of long eared bat in this region Gould's long eared bat. They can erect or lower their ears like a concertina. This one has its ears half way.
