Hi @Freebird. Thank you for your explanation. When you know the type of insect, as you did here, you might try using the list of categories to select a species. Within 'Insects' there is a separate category for 'Stick Insects'.

@Curiosity , thanks for the feedback. I'm not sure the exact name of this species. When I typed "Stick Insect" three options dropped down in the menu, so I chose the one which sounded right.

@Freebird, you have photographed a large stick insect. I'm just not positive as to species. It does resemble a stick mantis but doesn't have the triangular head of praying mantises.
