I have not been able to get a sharp image of the antennae to be sure.

Looking at the Moths of Victoria visual key to Oxycanus (accompanying disc to Part 6) which is based on antennae shape, form and colour this does not match O. sylvanus. O. sylvanus antennae are a straw yellow colour:-
Male: Oxycanus silvanus (Pale Oxycanus)
Female: Oxycanus silvanus (Pale Oxycanus)
The antnnae here are brown and a better match to O. dirempta.

Oxycanus dirempta

Hepialids are also called rain moths. Too large for Bogong Moth. Have a look at Agrotis infusa (Bogong Moth, Common Cutworm) or enter 4609211 in 'Quick search" versus
Abantiades atripalpis (Bardee grub/moth, Rain Moth) or enter 4663345 in 'Quick search" in NatureMapr

From iNaturalist this is a close up photo of O. dirempta male antennae: brown colouw, with pectinations.

Looking at the Moths of Victoria visual key (Part 6) and a blow up of the antennae of this sighting using Photoshop I believe the antennae are a beter match for O. dirempta.(male) and not O. hamatus,

Oxycanus dirempta
