Hard to be 100% certain without a clear look at the stipe (though thank you for trying to get a photo of the stype and gills). Could also be a Galerina sp.

Not sure of that either - but I might later look through all the photos in the big Matheny & Bougher book about Australian Inocybes.

The photos are fine. The problem is that this is a fairly nondescript, brown mushroom - and there are many of these, so getting an ID often means you need to look at a specimen. Having thought about this again, I think I was too hasty in ruling out Christina's suggestion of Galerina. Still not sure though!
