User's notes

This attractive shrub has been mistakenly distributed by some native plant enthusiasts who believed it to be the indigenous Swainsona galegifolia. It readily flowers, seeds, and naturalises, especially on fertile soils, with abundant seedlings produced, even in gravel paths and driveway edges. It has the potential to become a significant weed, and this occurrence was notified to the Biosecurity Officer. All plants have been removed. Please check if you have this species in your garden, especially if near bushland. Experts have reported that at least one other non-native Tephrosia has also been sold and shared mistakenly.
